We invite you to save the date for a Soil Health and Rangeland Management Field Day in Cebolla, NM at the ranch of Charlie and Verna Hibner. This will be an opportunity to gather with representatives from the local BLM office as well as other individuals invested in our working and wild lands. Participants will not only learn about geographic, geologic, and ecologic principles at this site, but also observe the impacts of the active management that the Hibners have implemented to increase grass growth and reduce brush on these uplands. We are also welcoming other invited groups to briefly share about related work that they are doing in this sphere and look forward to this shared learning opportunity.
The Field Day will take place on Friday, May 26th from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We strongly encourage early booking of any lodging required for your travels, as this is Memorial Day Weekend. The Hibner’s ranch is about 45 minutes from Chama and Abiquiu, as well as an hour from Española.
Please reach out to Charlie at charleshibner0@gmail.com to RSVP and if you have further questions.
